Choosing the right wedding officiant is one of the most important decisions you’ll make during the wedding planning process. After all, you and your families will remember your vows forever! I will work closely with you to create a fully customized, memorable, and heartfelt ceremony that celebrates you as a dynamic couple and as unique individuals.
Whether you want short and sweet, a more complicated interfaith wedding ceremony, or something in between, I am happy to make your wedding ceremony exactly what you’re looking for.
Initial Consultation
Before you even sign a contract, I offer a free, no obligation consultation. This may be done in person, over the phone, through Skype or FaceTime, or email. While an in-person consultation is preferred, I understand the needs and demands of a busy life! This is also a good chance to meet me to see if I would be the right officiant for you.
Planning Meeting
Once the contract is signed and deposit is paid, we will schedule a planning meeting. This normally occurs in person, but can be done over the phone or video call if necessary. We will review what is important to you in the ceremony and get a feel for who you are and what your relationship is like. This will help me write your ceremony so it reflects your personalities and beliefs.
Ceremony Drafts
After our Planning Meeting, I will write a full draft of your ceremony and email it for your review. Feel free to revise your ceremony as much as you would like until it fits exactly what you want, then simply email back your edits. Your ceremony should be perfect, so if you need any additional suggestions or guidance, I am happy to help at no additional cost to you.
Rehearsal (Optional)
In addition to practicing your entrances and exits at your rehearsal, you may want your officiant there to quickly run through the ceremony with you. If you choose (and if I’m available), I can attend for a 30-minute rehearsal to review your ceremony with your bridal party, families, and honored guests. This is your chance to make any last-minute changes and to get a glimpse of your ceremony in action.
The Big Day!
On the day of your event, I will arrive early to help coordinate with attendants and vendors and to get ready for the processional. I am happy to work with all wedding professionals. During the ceremony, I will deliver the exact ceremony we’ve discussed, creating an unforgettable experience for you and your guests!
The Marriage License
While it is your responsibility to obtain the marriage license before the wedding, I will take care of signing it and filing with the proper office. You will receive a copy of the license for you to keep.
